These Brazilians are Europeans

I have concluded that my Brazilian friends are actually Europeans living in Brasil.

They drink juice, coffee and milk; eat bread, cheese and processed cold cuts for breakfast. Going to a restaurant, you will find all kinds of salads, pastas, chicken, beef, etc. They use plates, knives and forks to eat.

No, they don’t eat Mexican food. Like most Latin countries, rice and beans are the most common items in every meal.

They celebrate Christmas, New Year, and Carnival religiously.

The way they dress is no different from any westerner.

They watch the same TV channels like us, Food Channel, Discovery Channel, HBO, etc.

They use internet like us. My friend’s 8 years old daughter has her own mini-laptop and cell phone.

They know what we know. They want to be rich. They want more stuff. Women want to be prettier and younger looking.

My friends are mostly of Italian origin; Orlando’s parents were from Latvia. The biggest groups of immigrants are from Italy, Germany which is predominantly white Europeans. In every photo, I am the darkest one. Then there are the Japanese, Eastern Europeans, Arabs, Koreans, Chinese, etc.

TheseEuropeanslikes Chinese food. I told them these Chinese restaurants won’t last three days in Vancouver. Maybe that’s why there are great opportunities here in Brazil for Chinese restaurants.

San Paulo state has the most Italians. Down south there are mostly Germans. Northeast you will find more African influence. Then up north there are the natives in Amazon.

Multi-culture is here too.
