Dolce far niente

WI-Fi

Wi-Fi is the new world. Here I am in the southern hemisphere, the "City of Orange" Limeira. The orange juice factory is still here as the orange groves are long gone with time.

I stay in a small house with two bedrooms. Everyday I got up at 9. Breakfast is bread, cheese, ham, and coffee. Then it's internet time. It keeps me connected all day long. I pay my bills, Skype and Facebook with my friends, stay in touch with the markets, watch streaming latest movies from Tom365 and amy365.com.

Lunch at noon is usually a big meal of the day. Rice and beans are the stable food here. Steaks are common and tastes better than N. American beef.

Then there is 4PM coffee and snacks. Dinner is usually light with lunch time leftovers. Snacking is common here through the afternoon and night time; pizza, sandwiches, cookies, etc.

People here drink lots of pops. Juices are common too. Drinking water is filtered at home. Bottled water is served in eateries.

This time I will be spending two months here. We will spend some time at the beach apartment like always. It is about 3 hours driving from here.

Living here is like the Italian saying "Dolce far diente", meaning "Beauty(Pleasure) of doing nothing".
